Aug. 11th, 2003 03:05 pmSo 40 year olds are really young these days.
One of my oldest friends turned 40 yesterday. The only thing that gave it away was that a lot of the family members who'd come had to leave earlyish because they were there with kids.
I didn't realize it was his 40th until we were decorating the room for the party. It kind of blew me away.
Partially it's that I don't feel what I figured "30" would. Partly it's that he's so not what I think of as "40". His best friend is 41, and it was the same thing.
Someone saw Ross' photo the other day and pegged him at about 28.
Is it that our generation is just more youthful than our parents were at the same age, or that we won't grow up?
