Although I knock the INS a lot, there are decent human beings that work there. I mean they can't have all assholes working for them :)
I also think that the fact you are an intelligent and articulate woman works in your favor down there. They don't have to spell things out in easy terms and argue with you like they do with some people. (at least that is my observation from being there a few times)
