Funniest thing I've read in a while...

Someone on the lj thyroid group posted a humourous quip from the ThyCa Songbook today. I went over to take a peek.

The website author has a page of humour.. one of the stories made me laugh, a *lot*...

Then there was the time I was being prepped for surgery. I flinched and screamed, "OUCH!" when the nurse stuck the catheter in the back of my hand. My husband shook his finger at me and said in a stern voice,"You'd better not be a problem patient, Megan, or else they'll slit your throat!" Well that cracked me up, but you should have seen the HORROR on the nurses' faces!

::snicker::

*heh* Sounds like something Frank said to me when I was grumpy in the hospital.

My arms were full of poke holes because I was too dehydrated for them to find a spot for the needle (I was one bruised person from all the blow-outs), and he said if I wasn't carefull they were going to just going to cut off my head and end my misery. However, my ER nurse just laughed. (Then she went and found an EMT to stick a hole in me, and he actually managed first try. Cute EMT, too...)
