Wait a second.. when did I stop being able to just make up words without anyone questioning them? Did I miss a memo?

The doctor has determined that my numbers are ok, ergo, I must be ok. I kicked and screamed at the nurse, and I have another appointment (with a different doctor) to which I'm going to go in armed with documentation.
