I have to agree with Gatorclix here (not on the loving her part). She IS an entertainer first, and as such, what she craves is attention.

Just like a bad kid who finds that using curse words garners him attention, she has figured out that the more outrageous things she says, the more attention she gets.

She's a loon, sure, but she's a RICH loon.

The best thing to do with people like that is to simply ignore them. Eventually they go away.
