Toothy badness - the extraction healing is not going as well as it could

So I'm sitting at my desk this morning when all of a sudden, blood comes pouring out from the left side's extraction site. Not good.

So I run home to get the gauze, and call the dentist. She decides she wants to have me come in, to make sure it's not dry socket.

I go in, they look at it, then pull out the needle. Ouch. I hate the needle. She ended up plugging it with a disolving plug that promotes clotting, and suturing it with a disolving suture. If it starts to bleed heavily again, she's going to refer me to an oral surgeon.

Whee.

So now I hurt, and I'm back to eating excessively soft food.

I had dry socket in two of four. It didn't actually suck so much - I had to stuff treated gause into the socket and pull it out daily as it healed. My mom was meant to do it but she was too grossed out. I found it fascinating and much less traumatic to do myself that if someone else had done it.

Ugh. I'm so sorry. I think they tell us that dental procedures are much more breezy than they actually are. Ice cream for you!

Do you need some mushy food recipes? I have *lots* of those!
