When we first got a dish, I was so excited that I'd see great shows on ancient and medieval history. Both Discovery and the History Channel have been a great disappointment that way. They all seem to say, "Well, obviously nobody actually likes this old stuff, so we'll highlight farfetched fringe theories and drench it all in overwrought showmanship."
